Since the British Colonial time the surrounding area of India's second largest peak Mt. Nanda Devi, blessed with immense natural beauty and a rich plethora of floral and faunal wealth has witnessed local people's agitation towards the Government Policies which has became the reason d'etre for the world famous Chipko Movement in 1970s to save the regions forest from commercial clean felling. With the creation of Nanda Devi National Park in 1982 and its up-gradation to Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve (NDBR) in 1988, local Bhotia villagers living in the vicinity of the protected area have faced an uphill battle to recover their social, cultural and economic rights. The complete ban on harvesting, grazing, hunting, trekking and mountaineering in order to protect the reserve from further ecological degradation has an adverse impact on local economy, that has already suffered from a blow by the closure of Indo-China border in 1962 led to a struggle to regain communal rights over park land.Even though the opening of the NDBR in 2003 to limited tourism activities for the first time in 20 years could not satisfied locals towards the Park Policies. The official 2003 plan of the government envisioned balancing biological conservation, economic development and sustainable eco-tourism practices. These include development of a cottage level wool industry, cultivation of medicinal plants, poultry, apiculture and promotion of Eco-friendly tourism. Active participation of locals is to be ensured at all levels of implementation. Research, interpretation and conservation education and infrastructure development have all remained only in the papers.
The present paper is based on the quantitative methods to evaluate the level of satisfaction of locals towards the park policies as well as to find out the local perception towards the co-management of the park in Reni, Lata, Tolma and Paing villages in the Niti Valley of NDBR.

In the pursuit of research a large amount of data is generated both in the laboratory and in the field. There is a need to store, retrieve and re-utilize the data in an effective and economnical way. Data is presented in a variety of forms in the literature. "These may be in the form of graph" tables" pie-charts, Mapes etc. It has been observed in actual operation of the data bank in the Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), New Delhi that the indexing system should have the capability to indicate the form of presentation of data as this constitutes an approach term i.e. the retrieval term. To meet this need a tentative depth classification version of CC for form of presentation of data, to. be treated as an anteriorising common isolates. has been attempted. Time seems to be right for Indian libraries and information centres to join networks in greater numbers to overcome the issues such as budget constraints, information explosion, increase in cost of publications, and to utilize information available in machine-readable form worldwide. Telematics, the newly developed information technology - a combination of computers with telecmmunications - has been considered to be very promising technology for computer networking. Applications of Telematics in computer networking and its components have been discussed. Benefits of computer networking in terms of resource sharing, speed of information retrieval, retrenching the limit of the distance, etc. have been highlighted. Further experiences of Central Road Research Institute (CRRI), New Delhi, a premier R&D organisation engaged in a wide variety of research programmes on highway engineering and related subjects, using its own Local Area Network and other two networks, viz., DELNET and SIRNET have been discussed in terms of hardware, communication softwares, LAN components and utilities (e.g. peer to peer communication and E-mail). The use of LAN with client server architecture, its potential benefits in library automation such as inter-library loan, quick reference, catalogue search facility through E-mail, file transfer and correspondence with member libraries, and problems, namely, non-availability of databases at member libraries, standardization of information, security, limited staff and cost of hardware and software have been discussed in particular for library and information applications.Keywords

Residues ofimidacloprid at 20 g a.i. ha-1 and lambda - cyhalothrin at 15 g a.i. ha-1 were estimated quantitatively by HPLC/GLC in/on brinjal fruits. Initial deposits of insecticides were higher in imidacloprid than lambda - cyhalothrin. Initial deposits of 0.652 mg kg-1 of imidacloprid dissipated to 93.17 per cent on 10th day. In lambda - cyhalothrin the initial deposits were 0.138 mg kg-1 which dissipated to 92.75 per cent on 10th day. The degradation of imidacloprid was relatively higher as compared to lambda - cyhalothrin. Both imidacloprid and lambda - cyhalothrin had half - life values of 1.92 and 2.65 days, respectively on brinjal fruits. The safe waiting period for imidacloprid was found 4.70 days. In lambda - cyhalothrin, no waiting period is required after its application as the initial deposits were less than its MRL (0.3 mg kg-1).Keywords

In the present work the authors have suggested a new symmetric key cryptographic method where rotation cipher is applied on digitized form of plain text. In this method the sender first converts the plain text into digital form by using 8 bit ASCII Code and then apply rotation cipher on this digitized plain text, thus hiding the original text. The “optical cavity” for trapping atoms is a very powerful technique to trap different types of atoms and study the different possible states of matter: insulation, superconductivity, Bose- Einstein condensate. Generally, as the number of atoms trapped in the cavity is generally quite low, one has to cool them to very low temperatures (approaching absolute zero via laser cooling and controlled evaporation) so that the their de Broglie wavelength becomes large allowing the quantum Bose-Einstein and Fermi-Dirac statistics come into play. One uses the Feshbach resonance to vary the interaction between the particles and reach the different states of matter. The most precise optical clock with a relative precision of approaching 10-18 is based on an optical clock. Moreover, the QM entanglemnt process for a number of particles can be set up and followed. One has gone even farther by studying the dispersion relations and the different-sound velocities in these cavities.
